Condolences From:
The Northeast American Diocese of
The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church

Grace, peace and blessing be upon the clergy and faithful of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the United States.

Beloved in the Lord,

We are saddened to learn of the passing of the ever-memorable Metropolitan Nicholas of Amissos, ruling hierarch of your diocese. For over fifty hears, His Eminence worked tirelessly to build up the Church of Chirst in America through pastoral ministry and monastic struggle, through the encouragement of the young  and the formation of clergy, through divine worship and loving service to all creation.  The fruit of his labors can be clearly seen in the strong and vibrant Church he leaves behind in yourselves, who are his letters of recommendation (II Cor. 3:1-3) We give thanks to Almighty God for the life of HIs Eminence, and for blessing this country with the example for his noble way of life.

The clergy and faithful of the Northeast American Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church join you in your grief and assure you at this time of our spiritual closeness, remembering you in our prayers.  We also pray for the repose of the soul of the newly departed Metropolitan Nicholas, that, his labors ended, he may be granted to hear the Voice crying out to him: "Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little I will set you over much.  Enter into the joy of your Master"

Yours in our Lord,

+Zacharin Mar Nicholovos
By the Grace of God
Diocesan Metropolitan
