The Third Sunday after Pentecost - Do Not Worry!

Sunday, July 11, 2021

The eye is the lamp of the body: if therefore thine eye be sound, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness. This means, if you fill your mind with worries over money, you have extinguished the lamp and darkened your soul. Just as the eye that is sound, or "healthy" brings light to the body, and the eye that is evil, or "diseased" brings darkness, so also does the state of the mind affect the soul. Read more...

SPF50 MINISTRY
Praying together and reading Scripture together are pillars of a Christ- centered Orthodox Christian family. While families may desire to have these activities in their home, they may not be sure how to start. SPF50 intends to help our families bridge that gap. SPF stands for “Scripture, Prayer, Family” and is designed to equip families to read the Scriptures and pray together at home.

This will be an ongoing parish-centered program to help families have quality time with our Lord and with one another, both of which are hard to come by.

A digital copy of SPF50's  Seventh publication is now available on the SPF50 Web Page.

Weekly Message

Each week of the SPF50 Ministry, a brief reflection will be offered to encourage us in our life of faith at home with our families.  These reflections will be based on the Gospel readings assigned for the week.  You can access the weekly reflections below and find archived copies of previous reflections on the SPF50 Web Page.
