Archpastoral Letter For Pascha 2021

Saturday, May 01, 2021

Today I greet you with great love and joy in the Name of our Lord, God and Saviour Jesus Christ following His glorious Resurrection. On Great and Holy Pascha, we behold the triumph of Christ, as He rose from death to life, from darkness of the tomb into the Light. With the Resurrection of Christ, all Creation is filled with a new Light of life and joy. On this Feast of Feasts, this Holy Day of Holy Days, we all proclaim the only truth that matters, the Truth that Christ is Risen!

This year we have experienced a different Great Lent, Holy Week and Pascha from that which we did last year with the arrival of the Coronavirus known as Covid-19.  This invisible entity has attacked us in a vicious way. Millions of people have been exposed to the virus showing no symptoms. Read more...

St Athanasius the Great: Celebrating the Paschal Feast

Monday, April 26, 2021

Brethren, how fine a thing it is to move from festival to festival, from prayer to prayer, from holy day to holy day. The time is now at hand when we enter on a new beginning: the proclamation of the blessed Passover, in which the Lord was sacrificed. We feed as on the food of life, we constantly refresh our souls with his precious blood, as from a fountain. Yet we are always thirsting, burning to be satisfied. But he himself is present for those who thirst and in his goodness invites them to the feast day. Read more...

SPF50 MINISTRY
Praying together and reading Scripture together are pillars of a Christ- centered Orthodox Christian family. While families may desire to have these activities in their home, they may not be sure how to start. SPF50 intends to help our families bridge that gap. SPF stands for “Scripture, Prayer, Family” and is designed to equip families to read the Scriptures and pray together at home.

This will be an ongoing parish-centered program to help families have quality time with our Lord and with one another, both of which are hard to come by.

A digital copy of SPF50's  Sixth publication is now available on the SPF50 Web Page.

Weekly Message

Each week of the SPF50 Ministry, a brief reflection will be offered to encourage us in our life of faith at home with our families.  These reflections will be based on the Gospel readings assigned for the week.  You can access the weekly reflections below and find archived copies of previous reflections on the SPF50 Web Page.
