Bishop Gregory Presides Over Planting of Cross and Ground Breaking for a New Church in Lafayette, IN.
LAFAYETTE, IN -- On Sunday, October 13th, His Grace Bishop Gregory presided at the planting of the Cross and a ground breaking for a new church in Lafayette, Indiana. St. Alexis parish has been in its present retro-fit building for about 14 years, and the congregation are preparing to build on donated land just outside West Lafayette. His Grace also attended a dinner, provided by parishioners, following the blessing. The faithful were blessed with a gorgeous day for this important event, and are most grateful to His Grace for including them during his three-day pastoral visit to Indiana.

Attention Diocesan Youth: Fall Encounter To Take Place At Camp Nazareth
MERCER, PA – The National Jr. ACRY will once again be hosting its Weekend Encounter at Camp Nazareth over Veteran’s Day Weekend. The event will be held from November 8 – 10, 2013, and is open to youth ages 8 – 18. Attendees do not have to be a member of the Jr. ACRY to attend. The weekend’s activities will include time for prayer, recreating, spiritual learning, sports, and more.

Bishop Gregory Begins Archpastoral Visitation to Canada
OTTAWA, CANADA -- His Grace, Bishop Gregory began, this weekend, his first Archpastoral Visitation to Canada. His Grace, Bishop Gregory was greeted upon his arrival by Very Rev. Protopresbyter Maxym Lysack, the Dean of the Canadian Deanery, and pastor of Christ the Saviour Church in Ottawa. Bishop Gregory led the weekend celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Christ the Saviour Parish community where he presided over Saturday Evening Vespers and the Sunday Hierarchical Liturgy. Over the course of the weekend the parish faithful, parish ministry leadership and the youth were given the opportunity to meet with Bishop Gregory.
Special Diocesan Sobor-Council Webpage Launched - Sobor Deadlines Announced
JOHNSTOWN, PA -- A special web page for the XXII Diocesan Sobor has been launched today to keep the faithful of the Diocese apprised of the latest information and approaching deadlines. The site includes pertinent council materials and delegate registration and hotel reservation information. While the Sobor is in session, it will provide live broadcasts of Liturgical Services and multimedia news coverage.
On-Line Scripture Class on the Gospel of St. John Begins Saturday September 7
JOHNSTOWN, PA -- The Diocesan Apostolate For Christian Education is pleased to announce that a weekly on-line Scripture Study Class on the Gospel of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John will begin on Saturday September 7, 2013. The class, led by Very Rev. Protopresbyter Kenneth Bachofsky, D. Min, Professor of Sacred Scripture at Christ the Saviour Seminary, will be broadcast live every Saturday from St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Warren, Ohio.

Diocese Takes Part In IOCC Emergency Responder's Training Program
DENVER, [IOCC] - Very Rev. Fr. Miles Zdinak of Sts Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Windber, was one twenty-two Orthodox Christians from around the country who gathered to participate in training this week at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church in Greenwood Village, Colorado, to become new members of the IOCC Frontline. The new volunteers join more than 60 current clergy and lay volunteers who serve as part of this national network developed to respond to emergencies.

St Stephen's Orthodox Church Celebrates Golden Jubilee
LATROBE, PA -- On Sunday August 25, 2013, the faithful of St. Stephen the Protomartyr Orthodox Church of Latrobe, PA welcomed His Grace, Bishop Gregory for his first Canonical Visit to the Parish. His Grace joined the faithful of St. Stephen's Church to celebrate its Golden Anniversary of its establishment.
His All Holiness Celebrates The Feast of Dormition at Panaghia Soumela Monastery
ECUMENICAL PATRIARCHATE - On Thursday, August 15, 2013, His All-Holiness celebrated the great feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos at the historic monastery of Panaghia Soumela in Trabzon. This is the fourth consecutive year that His All-Holiness has led an annual pilgrimage to the historical monastery since its closure nine decades ago. The monastery was founded in 386 and functioned without interruption until 1923. Among those in attendance were Bishops Seraphim of Apollonias (from Australia) and Theodosios of Brovary (from Ukraine)

Bishop Gregory Is Appointed As New Episcopal Liaison To The Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF)
Brookline, MA - [Orthodox Christian Fellowship] For more than ten years His Eminence Metropolitan Isaiah of Denver has faithfully served as the Episcopal liaison for Orthodox Christian Fellowship, first to SCOBA and more recently to the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops. His Eminence has been a most necessary and helpful provider in giving OCF the sage spiritual and administrative counsel needed to grow and fulfill campus ministry over the years.
