St George Church, ACRY Chapter #21 of Taylor, PA is pleased to be your host for the 75th Senior and 36th Junior Conventions August 30 – September 2, 2019. The highlights of the weekend will be an ethnic night, Divine Liturgy with veneration and anointing of the myrrh-streaming icon of the Kardiotissa, and the Grand Banquet entertainment provided by Ariana Lem Joy Trio. They have been working hard to keep the costs low and put together a weekend everyone will enjoy. We hope you will make the trip to The Greater Scranton, PA area for a fun and enjoyable weekend!
Hotel Reservations
Host hotel for the weekend will be the Spring Hill Suites - located in Moosic, PA. Room rates are $109 + tax per night. Room reservations must be made no later than Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in order to obtain the convention rate.
An online link has been created - Hotel Reservations - for our use when booking rooms for the weekend. Those who prefer may call the hotel directly at 570-207-1212 and reference “ACRY Convention” to obtain the special convention rate. To allow everyone the opportunity to visit the area, Spring Hill Suites will honor the above room rates for early arrivals on Thursday.
Meal Packages
The meal package includes four (4) meals: Lunch will be provided at the meeting Saturday afternoon. Saturday evening will be a buffet ethnic meal. A breakfast buffet will follow the Divine Liturgy along with the Sunday evening Grand Banquet. Each morning at the hotel a hot/cold breakfast bar will provided with your stay.

Children 4 & Under are FREE

Program Book, Advertisements, Patrons & Memorials
In conjunction with the Convention, a commemorative booklet is being compiled. We are seeking donations in the form of advertisements, patrons, and boosters. Additionally, we will have an “In Memoriam” section to honor the memory of loved ones. The respective costs are as follows:
Full Page Advertisement - $75
Half Page Advertisement - $35
Quarter Page Advertisement - $20
Patrons - $10
Boosters - $5
Memorial Listings - $5
Photographs may be included in full/half page ads. They should be scanned at the highest resolution and put into a jpeg format.

Friday Morning Golf Outing
A golf outing is scheduled for Friday morning beginning at 9:00 am at Pine Hills Golf Course. The cost is approximately $34.00 per person. Directions to the golf course will be available at the front desk of the hotel Thursday evening.

Saturday Evening Entertainment
A Night in the Carpathians
Following dinner Saturday evening, entertainment will be provided by our very own Jaslickari/Bethlehem Carolers. This is a tradition that we treasure and share with our parishioners each Christmas. The meal will be our ethnic foods that are featured at our yearly festival. Following the visit from the Bethlehem Carolers, there will be additional ethnic surprises throughout the evening.
Sunday Hierarchical Liturgy
Sunday Hierarchical Divine Liturgy will be held at St. George’s Orthodox Church, 743 S Keyser Ave, Taylor, PA 18517, followed by veneration and anointing of the myrrh-streaming icon of the Kardiotissa and a Sunday breakfast buffet in the church hall at 9:00 am.

Parental Consent & Code Of Conduct Forms
Parental Consent and Code of Conduct Form must be completed for all youth participating in the convention who are 8-18 years of age.
NOTE: 18 year olds who are either current high school students or graduated within 4 months prior to the event still fall under the jurisdiction of the requirements of the JR ACRY attendees. They and their parents MUST fill out the Junior Registration and consent form, in order to be attend the event. The form must be filled out completely, including medical history and consent, even if parents or guardians are attending.
