Diocesan young women travel to Saints Peter and Paul in Windber, Pennsylvania for the fifth annual Young Women's Encounter. This year's theme is "Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation and continuing steadfastly in prayer." (Romans 12:12). To learn how to live out this verse, we are looking to the example of the Mother of God.

Anna, a barren woman, gave birth to the Mother of God. The icon of the Nativity of the Theotokos is reminiscent of the icon of the Nativity of Christ.
The Myrrh Bearing women were the first to know of Christ's Resurrection!
"Hail Mary full of Grace the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb."
At the Ascension, the Theotokos was not confused. She knew of her Son's divinity.
Our posters offer a visual chronicle of the life of the Theotokos. She is the girl who we are striving to pray like!
Pani Eleni offers direction and love to our participants.
In the evening we discussed how the Mother of God shows us to pray.
