Camp Nazareth Cabin Expansion Project Days 101-103 (3/14/16)

The Camp Nazareth Cabins are undergoing a major upgrade with this expansion. New bathrooms, showers, a large common room, covered front porches, and climate control (hvac) are just some of the planned upgrades.

The project is scheduled to be completed by April 1, 2016.

Photos show scenes from days 101-103 of construction: Mar. 3, 2016 - Mar. 7, 2016.

Mar. 3 - The cabins are wired to receive internet. At a later date fiber optics will be brought to the Camp. At that time all cabins will get internet capability.
Mar. 3 - It looks like we have columns in each cabin, but actually this is part of the duct work that will be "stubbed" out into each common room along the ceiling. The duct work was painted the ceiling white to blend in better.
Mar. 3 - Sheeting the roof of Cabin 6.
Mar. 3 - "Up on the Roof" the old Drifters song comes to mind. Only on this roof it's not so peaceful...lots of work finishing off the last cabin roof.
Mar. 3 -- If you look closely you can see Peter Pan's shadow pointing at the CAT6 cable that will bring internet to the cabins when the time comes.
Mar. 3 -- Looks like some kind of giant camper vacuum coming out of the cabin attic, but it's only part of the HVAC duct work.
Mar. 3 - Covering up the bunks and mattresses to do all the painting in the old part of the cabins.
Mar. 3 - These workers are prepping the cabin to get it's new vinyl soffit and new aluminum facia. Less maintenance in the long run and not having to contend with carpenter bees are the benefits of having the vinyl and aluminum rather than the wood soffit and facia.
Mar. 7 - Getting the pads poured for the heat pumps outside each cabin.
Mar. 7 - Here's the view from the front porch of cabins 4 & 5.
Mar. 7 - The old part of the cabin with a coat of paint to brighten things up.
Mar. 7 -- It doesn't have it's coat of paint, but here is one of the common rooms in a duplex cabin.
Mar. 7 - Here's the view from the common room of Cabins A & B. The campers in those cabins will have a beautiful view of the Camp including the Church.
Mar. 7 - It still has tools and supplies in it, but this common room of one of the cabins has it's coat of paint on it.
