CN Cabin Expansion Project Days 1-3 (10/16/15)

The Camp Nazareth Cabins are undergoing a major upgrade with this expansion. New bathrooms, showers, a large common room, covered front porches, and climate control (hvac) are just some of the planned upgrades.

The project is scheduled to be completed by March 1, 2016.

Photos show scenes from the first three days of construction: Oct 14-16, 2015.

In the early morning hours of October 14th trucks began to show up.
The trucks brought containers for the crews to work out of
They began to make a way down to cabins 6-8. That meant building a road
The road to cabins 6, 7 and 8 was dug.
Work continued on October 15. They would eventually need to fill the road with some crushed stone.
Usually we use orange field paint to mark off the sports field but today it was used to mark off the new parts of the cabins
On October 16th, work began on drilling a water well.
We need some more water for all those new showers. If you look closely, you will see the Cross at the Cross shrine between the two trucks. How fitting -- It was He who caused water to spring up for the Israelites in the desert. "Without [Him] we can do nothing."
No more sidewalk to cabins 7 & 8...Don't worry, it will "grow" back
No more front fence either. That won't "grow" back, but don't worry a covered front porch will take its place!
