2015 Camp Nazareth Winter Camping Season

The Winter Camping Season came around again at Camp Nazareth due to the repeated snowfalls and the many Polar Vortexes (Vortices?). The Winter campers and counselors showed up in force. It led to a great time and a beautiful story. Enjoy!!
The snow had come to Camp Nazareth...
...after all, it was winter...
The Pines were heavy with the snow...
...teaching us that eventually everything bows before God...all parts of His creation.
The Church and the surrounding trees had been "decorated" by our Lord in a way no one else could do.
...and each structure...
...from the Staff cabin...
...and fields...
...to the Pavilion and Pool were splashed with white...
...as we looked out we knew that something was about to begin and we hoped we would "discover" it again this year...
...we knew that campers just weren't as happy at home...straight faces with no smiles...
...because they probably had to shovel their sidewalks and driveways...
...not even a game of winter snow wiffleball at their homes could get them to smile...so we knew they would make their way to Camp...
...because they missed their beloved Camp...
...and so it began...the 2015 Winter Camping Season at Camp Nazareth...
...which brought smiles to the campers' and counselors' faces...
....here we see a camper being greeted by their counselors...
...look at how warmly the camper is received by these co-counselors....
...look at the gentle touch....
...the pat on the head...
...its a wonderful sight when we see campers happy to be back...and even in the middle of winter for the Second Annual Winter Camping Season...
...we even had a few leftover summer campers who had a chance to snap some pics with our Winter counselors and campers....
...the Winter counselors event paused to take a pic at the Camp Church, but the campers had already made their way to the Lodge for their meal...they said it was too cold out for an end-of-the-week picture....
...until the Summer then, we'll have to wait for the campers to return...but you probably won't see the Winter campers at that point...
...because even now they are melting away...
...some are even "losing their heads" because the Winter Camping Season is nearly done...
....until the Summer then...we'll be waiting for you to follow Pew Road...
...to our beloved Camp watched over by our merciful, compassionate and loving Lord!
