Diocesan Faithful to Take Part in Eastern Regional Lenten Retreat



PHOENIXVILLE, PA --  [NATIONAL ACRY]  A large contingency of diocesan faithful and friends have registered to participate in this coming Saturday, March 20th's  Eastern Regional  Diocesan Lenten Retreat.   The retreat is sponsored by the National ACRY and will take place at the National Christian Conference Center in Valley Forge, PA.  It is open to all Diocesan Faithful and Friends.

Faithful will begin to gather in Phoenixville on Friday evening, March 19th, for the celebration of the Liturgy of Presanctfied Gifts  at Holy Ghost Church, which will be concelebrated by Host Pastor,  Very Rev. Protopresbyter John Fedornock,  Very Rev. Protopresbyter Peter Paproski , National Sr. ACRY Spiritual Advisor,  and the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Luke Mihaly.  The formal retreat program will begin on Saturday morning at 9:30 am with the registration of  the retreat participants, Continental breakfast and  the recitation of Morning Prayers. It will conclude with the celebration of  the Confession Service at 4:00 pm.

Highlights will include a video greeting from His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas from Christ the Saviour Cathedral, and  a presentation by  Very. Rev. Protopresbyter Luke Mihaly, Dean of the New England Deanery on the topic: The Expulsion of Adam and Eve From Paradise: Insights into the Battle With Sin And the Spiritual Life From the Book of Genesis.  Subdeacon Nicholas Mihaly will lead the teenagers in an interactive discussion on Music and the Orthodox Spiritual Life and Protodeacon Gregory Benc assisted by Mrs. Ferko, of Holy Ghost Church of Phoenixville, will conduct a workshop with the younger children on the theme  Let Us Forgive All In The Resurrection
