Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew To Arrive in USA Tuesday
NEW ORLEANS -- His All-Holiness, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I will arrive in New Orleans on Tuesday to lead a symposium of scientists, policymakers and religious leaders entitled "The Great Mississippi River: Restoring Balance." His All-Holiness will make a keynote speech, "The Interconnectedness of All Things," on Wednesday. The conference will continue through October 25th, and then he will begin a tour of Parishes in the New Orleans, Georgia, Washington, DC and New York Regions.
Diocesan Faithful are urged to follow the events surrounding His All Holiness' visitation on the special website created by the Internet Ministries Department of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese at www.patriarchate.org. Visitors to the site will be able to listen to live audio and video feed of the environmental symposium and photogalleries posted daily. Further, the visit may be followed on the Social Media Forum on Facebook, Twitter and You Tube, where the readers and especially our youth will be invited to discuss the environmental symposium and other topics related to His-All-Holiness' visit.
