Diocesan Parishes to Participate in OCF Day of Prayer - On-Line
JOHNSTOWN, PA -- Three diocesan parishes, St. Alexis Church in Lafayette, IN, St. James Mission in Farmville, VA and Holy Ghost Church in Manville, NJ will be taking part in the Orthodox Christian Fellowship Day of Prayer on Monday March 7, 2011.
OCF Students at Rutgers, University, will be led in prayer by Fr. Matthew Moriak from 4:00 am - 5:00 am (EST). Prayers will be offered at Purdue University, where Fr. Gregory Allard of St. Alexis Church is the Chaplain from 5:00 am - 6:00 am (EST). Students at Hampton Sydney and Longwood University will be led in prayer by Fr. Michael Rustick at St. James Mission in Farmville, VA from 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM. The prayer services at Purdue and Hampton Sydney will be live broadcast via the internet. OCF Day of Prayer is a program that unites the various chapters across North America
in prayer. Each year, on the first day of Great Lent (Clean Monday), participating OCF
chapters take part in 24 hours of unceasing prayer. Each school takes a one-hour slot
to pray for themselves, their chapters and their fellow students.
