Dedication Of Renovated Cabins To Take Place May 11, 2016

JOHNSTOWN, PA [Diocesan Chancery] -- His Grace Bishop Gregory has announced today that the newly expanded and renovated cabins at Camp Nazareth will be dedicated during the Annual Diocesan Priest Convocation on Wednesday May 11, 2016.

The day will begin with the Divine Liturgy in the Sts. Cyril and Methodios Chapel at 8:00 am for the Feast Day of Sts. Cyril and Methodios. The Dedication Service will begin at 10:00 am. Joining His Grace, Bishop Gregory will be His Eminence Metropolitan Savas of Pittsburgh, along with priests and laity of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh. Following the service and the blessing of all ten cabins, there will be a celebratory brunch in the Main Lodge.

Diocesan Clergy and their families, and the faithful of the Diocese are cordially invited to attend the Dedication Service and the brunch.  Click Here for more information and to download  the registration form.  Those planning to attend the festivities are kindly asked to respond by before May 3.

As part of the celebration that day, “Open Houses” will be held at the newly expanded and renovated cabins. Faithful of the Diocese and parish representatives will have an opportunity to present gifts at the celebration to offset the cost of this major project if they choose. To date without any solicitation, faithful and parishes throughout our Diocese have contributed over $38,000.

Clergy and faithful are asked to mark  their calendars and plan on attending this historic event in the life of Camp Nazareth and our God-Protected Diocese.
