Ordinations at Christ the Saviour Orthodox Church in Ottawa, Canada (3/24/19)
Sunday March 24, 2019 was an historic day in the life of the Canadian Deanery of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of North America. During Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at Christ the Savior Church in Ottawa, Ontario, ordinations to each of the four orders of the Church, Reader, Subdiaconate, Deaconate, and the Holy Priesthood took place through the Laying on of Hands of His Eminence, Metropolitan Gregory.
Deacon Paul Tadros of St. Silouan the Athonite Mission in Toronto, Ontario was ordained to the Holy Priesthood, Deacon Peter (Craig) Bowers of Christ The Savior Parish was ordained to the offices of Reader and Subdeacon and the Holy Diaconate, and Readers Michael Luciuk and Efraim Pfeil, of St.Silouan the Athonite Mission were also ordained to the Subdiaconate.
While occurring on the Second Sunday of Great Lent, with the presence of His Eminence, Metropolitan Gregory, in the Church which was filled to capacity, and the angelic singing of the parish choir, the faithful enjoyed a foretaste of the joy of Holy Pascha.
