2016 National ACRY Convention September 2-5, 2016 - Potomac, MD

The Holy Resurrection Parish ACRY Chapter#25 will be the host of the 72nd National Senior and 33rd National Junior ACRY  Convention. The Chapter is already working hard to provide you with a great Convention this year. We hope you will make the trip to the Potomac, MD/Washington DC area for a fun and enjoyable weekend!

General Information

Below is information on the hotel and meal packages and convention weekend events along with links to all the pertinent forms needed to register. Registration packages will be sent out to each Senior ACRY Chapter. These packages will include forms for both the Senior and Junior Chapters to aid in registering for the Convention.

ALL Convention information - meal reservation forms, ads, patrons/boosters, golf outing  and excursion reservations must  be returned, postmarked no later than August 1, 2016

AFTER THIS TIME THE HOTEL IS GOING TO CHARGE US ADDITIONAL FOR MAKING CHANGES.  We kindly ask that all Chapters make every effort to send in one form and payment for each activity (meal packages, Saturday excursions, Convention Booklet).

Friday Morning Golf Outing

A golf outing has been organized for Friday morning, September 2nd. The golf outing will be held at  the Falls Road Golf Course,  10800 Falls Road, Potomac, Maryland 20854  http://www.mcggolf.com/Courses/FallsRoad.aspx

Hotel Reservations

We are headquartered at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center located at 5701 Marinelli Rd, Bethesda, MD 20852.

The hotel is conveniently located on the Red Line of the DC Metro Area Subway System. The entrance to the subway (Metro) is literally at the corner of the hotel parking lot!

A rate of $109 (+ tax) has been secured for the rooms --- this is an incredible rate for the Washington D.C. Metro Area!!!! These room rates are also secured for the day before/after the convention (Sep 1st & 6th respectively). Below is the link to make your reservations! We have secured a Suite (called Junior Suites) rate of $209 (+ tax). The suites are in SHORT SUPPLY. If you want a suite make the reservation early. Meal Packages

Meal package includes four (4) meals – Saturday brunch, Saturday dinner, Sunday brunch, and Sunday banquet.

Meal package prices are as follows:

$150.00 for adults

$125.00 for all juniors ages 13-17

$75.00 for children ages 12 and under.

For Seniors and Junior there are two dinner choices for Saturday Dinner:  Chicken or Vegetarian.

For Seniors and Juniors there are three dinner choices for Sunday Banquet, Chicken, Steak and Salmon.

Ad Booklet

Support the 2016 Convention by sponsoring an ad or donating toward a memorial or patron listing. Use the form below to submit ads and/or memorial/patron listings.

Program Booklet ads from your parish, your chapter, local parish businesses and individuals, and Patron, Booster or  Memorial Listings must be postmarked by August 1, 2016 to guarantee inclusion in the commemorative booklet.  Electronic submission is encouraged. Saturday Excursions

Three excursions are being planned for Saturday Afternoon,  Sept 3, 2016. ALL excursions are $15 per person (see attached forms) and will be roughly from 1:30pm to 5:30pm. Busses will depart directly from the hotel and going to the site of your choice.  We need to know by August 1st which excursion you are interested in.  [Please note, we must have a minimum of 20 people signed up for each site, otherwise that particular bus will be cancelled and you will have a choice of the other two offered sites or money refunded].

Saturday Evening Entertainment

We are in the planning stages of an entertaining game of “Minute to Win It” on Saturday, September 3rd immediately following dinner so come prepared to compete!  More info on the theme of this event to follow!

Sunday Hierarchical Divine Liturgy will be held at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, located at 10201 Democracy Blvd, Potomac, MD 20854
