The Niles, IL Chapter has been working hard to provide you with a great Convention this year. We hope you will make the trip to Chicago for a fun and enjoyable weekend!

Below is information on the hotel and meal packages and convention weekend events along with links to all the pertinent forms needed to register. Registration packages will be sent out to each Senior ACRY Chapter. These packages will include forms for both the Senior and Junior Chapters to aid in registering for the Convention. All forms are due by August 1, 2013.

Hotel Reservations

All convention meetings will take place at the Chicago Marriott O'Hare, located at 8535 West Higgins Road, Chicago, Illinois 60631. A block of rooms has been reserved for our event with a special room rate of $99 per night plus tax. The rate is effective from Thursday, August 29 through Sunday, September 1.

Reservations may be made by phone at 1-800-228-9290 or 1-773-693-4444. Reference the ACRY to receive the special rate.

Reservations must be made by August 9, 2013. If you experience any problems making reservations, please email or call Judy Moran-Andrews at stmichaelsacry@gmail.com or 773-512-3290.

Parking rates will apply for anyone parking at the hotel. However, attendees of the ACRY Convention will receive 50% off parking rates. If planning on driving and parking at the hotel, please mention the 50% discount when making your reservation.

Meal Packages

The meal packages will include breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday, brunch on Sunday, and the Grand Banquet on Sunday night. Some highlights include....

  • Saturday Lunch: A buffet featuring some of Chicago's famous foods
  • Saturday Dinner: An ethnic dinner at the Ukrainian Cultural Center located in Chicago's Ukrainian Village along with a brief excursion or two on our trip out to dinner (see siteseeing information below)
  • Sunday Brunch: Hosted by St. Michael's Parish
  • Sunday's Banquet will include your choice of sliced pork loin or pan seared tilapia

Meal package costs are as follows:

Senior $130 / Junior $115 / Junior < 12 yrs $55.

Senior Board Member* $90 / Junior Board Member** $57.50

 * Senior Board Member package is only available to those National Board Members who attend the Friday night board meeting.

** Junior Board Member package is only available to those National Junior Board Members who attend the Friday night board meeting.  The National Junior ACRY is to pay $57.50 for each qualifying Junior Board Member.

Saturday Sightseeing

Following the business sessions on Saturday, Chapter 68 would like to take you into downtown Chicago for some sightseeing. Two options are being offered, which cover two different parts of the downtown area: the Magnificent Mile and Millennium Park. You choose which area you want to explore! After sightseeing, Chapter 68 will take you to Holy Trinity Orthodox Cathedral for an educational presentation on the Cathedral’s architecture, which has been made a historical landmark, and Saint John Kochurov of Chicago. Following the presentation, we will head directly to dinner.

There will be an opportunity to return downtown to Navy Pier after dinner for fireworks on the waterfront, pending enough interest.

Sunday Hierarchical Liturgy

Sunday Hierarchical Divine Liturgy will be held at St. Michael's Church, located at 7313 N.Waukegan Road, Niles, IL 60714.

St. Michael's Parish cordially invites you all to a brunch immediately following Liturgy.

Transportation will be provided.

ACRY T-Shirt Sale

Chapter 68 is selling t-shirts commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Junior ACRY. The t-shirts are available in multiple sizes (S, M, L, and XL) and two colors (blue and green). To purchase a t-shirt, please use the form below and return it (with payment) to Chapter 68, St. Michael’s ACRY. Pictures of the t-shirts are included with the order form.
