The New England Deanery bus was the first to arrive at Camp Nazareth on Sunday Evening, July 20, 2003.

Campers registered at the Camp Pavilion upon their arrival. Nearly 90 campers from the New York, New Jersey, New England and Florida Deaneries are in attendance for the second Diocesan Camping Week of the 2003 Camping Season.




"Master Give The Blessing!" Father Deacon David M. Zuder, Camp Director calls upon Very Rev. Fr. John Pribish of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Elizabeth, NJ to begin the Service of the Lesser Blessing of Waters. This service marked the end of Sunday Evening's activities.

 


Father Michael Chendorain of Saints Peter and Paul Church, Rockaway, NJ and former camp counsellor, blessed the campers' cabins which were to be their home away from home for the week at the end of the water blessing service.

A windstorm Monday afternoon uprooted a tree near the camp playground.

Fr. Deacon David Zuder, Camp Director, uses a chainsaw to remove a portion of the fallen tree.

Team work and old fashioned ingenuity came together to clear the fallen tree.

The waterslide at the camp's Olympic size swimming pool is a popular attraction.

The annual staff/campers basketball game took place during free time on Wednesday afternoon. The campers were victorious over the staff by a score of 41 to 19.

Campers enjoy sharing stories about their impressions of Camp Nazareth at Wednesday night's camp fire.

A camper receives a blessing from His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas who visited the Camp on Thursday.

Campers put on skits on the life of various saints Thursday evening prior to Great Vespers and Confessions.

Participants in Friday Morning's Divine Liturgy. The campers enthusiastically sang the responses in the traditional Carpatho-Russian Plain Chant.
