PARISH OBLIGATIONS/DEADLINES

To insure the growth and vitality of various ministries and apostolates of the diocese, each diocesan parish is called upon to offer regular financial support. The following is an outline of the parish and clergy financial obligations to the diocese. The strict adherence to the stated deadlines is greatly appreciated. When making out checks to the diocese you are kindly asked to make checks payable to ACROD.

PRIEST'S PENSION FUND

Each parish in the diocese is required to make an annual contribution of $ 700.00
Each priest in the diocese is required to make an annual contribution of $ 400.00
Deadline for payment is February 15th of each year.

DIOCESAN INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP ASSESSMENT

Each member of the Diocese 18 years of age and older contributes $47.00 per person. College students, to age 21, are not obligated to pay the assessment as are members of the military during their first term of military service.There is no longer any separate parish assessment. Deadline for payment is March 31st of each year.

CLERGY ASSESSMENT

Every priest in the diocese contributes $35.00 per person. Deadline for payment is March 31st of each year.

PATRIARCHAL PENCE

This collection is gathered on a Sunday during Lent in each parish and is forwarded as a collective gift by the Chancery to the Patriarchate of Constantinople for the support and maintenance of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Deadline for payment is 2 weeks after Pascha of each year.

PRIEST'S INSURANCE FUND

The priest's insurance fund was established to provide death protection to the family members of our diocesan priests. Each parish in the diocese is required to make an annual contribution of $100.00. Each priest in the diocese is required to make an annual contribution of $150.00 Deadline for payment is September 15th of each year.

CHURCH MESSENGER

The Church Messenger subscription fee is included in the Diocesan Assessment. Each household in the parish is entitled to a subscription. Subscription fee for non-diocesan members is $12.00 per year. Annually the chancery sends a subscription list to each parish to update. Additions/deletions throughout the year can be made by contacting the Church Messenger Business Manager.

DISTINGUISED DIOCESAN DONORS

Donations of $100.00 qualify diocesan members to be recognized as a Distinguished Diocesan Donor. This fund assists in defraying maintenance costs at Camp Nazareth in Mercer, PA and are also used for Diocesan Apostolates. Each "3D" member is honored at a complimentary dinner in the Fall of each year. It is asked that all donations be made by September 1st of each year.

CHRIST THE SAVIOUR SEMINARY - ANNUAL GIVING APPEAL

In February of each year, every household in the Diocese receives information regarding the annual giving appeal for Christ the Saviour Seminary. Each diocesan household is asked to prayerfully consider contributing to this fund drive. All proceeds help defray the operating costs of the seminary and the education costs of our future diocesan clergy.
