HERMITAGE, PA -- On Saturday May 18, 2013, His Grace, Bishop Gregory of Nyssa, assisted by the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Michael Polanichka, Fr. David Mastroberte and clergy of the Youngstown Deanery and other Diocesan and local Orthodox parishes, consecrated the newly constructed St. John The Baptist Orthodox Church in Hermitage, PA. Following the two hour long Consecration Service, The first Liturgy in the newly consecrated Church was celebrated by His Grace, Bishop Gregory and the assembled Clergy. Read more...

JOHNSTOWN, PA -- The Very Rev. Protopresbyer Michael Rosco, fell-asleep-in-the-Lord, this morning, May 15, 2013 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital in Johnstown. Fr. Michael has served the Lord and our Diocese honorably and faithfully for the more than 40 years of his worthy priesthood, most recently serving as Vice-Chancellor of the Diocese, member of the Diocesan Consistory, Dean of the New York, New Jersey and Washington, DC Deaneries, Editor of The Church Messenger, Chairman of the Diocesan Liturgical Music and Mission Commissions, and Pastor to the faithful of St. John The Baptist Orthodox Church in Perth Amboy, NJ. This year, the Bachelor of Theology Degree was awarded to Seminarian/ Sub-deacon William George. The Commencement Ceremony began with the celebration of the Moleben Service by Very Rev. Scholarships Available For Pan-Orthodox College Retreat

CAMP NAZARETH - MERCER, PA -- Thanks to a generous scholarship grant college students will receive a $25 reduction in the fee for the Overcome the World College Retreat being held May 19-21, 2013 at Camp Nazareth Retreat and Conference Center in partnership with OCF. Each student who attends the Retreat will receive $25 off their tuition.
