MERCER, PA   The Annual Diocesan-wide  Youth Pilgrimage began this afternoon with the arrival of youth from Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Ohio at Camp Nazareth and the celebration of Daily Vespers.  Later this evening, following free time on the camp grounds, the youth will gather for a candlelight Moleben to the Theotokos followed by Confession.  Saturday will begin with Divine Liturgy celebrated by Clergy of the Diocesan Apostolate For Youth with the responses to be sung by the diocesan youth in the traditional Plain Chant.  Following Brunch, the pilgrims will travel to the Polk Center, a home for the elderly and handicapped, where our diocese has a chapel in honor of St. Luke the Physician. While at the Polk Center the youth will interact with the residents and sing a Moleben to St. Nectarios.   They will return later in the afternoon  to Camp Nazareth where they will lead the singing of Great Vespers and take part in the Diocesan Pilgrimagei n Honor of the Most  Holy Mother of God and the Transfiguration of our Lord which formally begins at this time.
