Diocesan Stewardship Commission Begins Work
JOHNSTOWN, PA -- The newly created Diocesan Stewardship Commission has begun its labors in preparation for the Upcoming Special Summer Diocesan Council (Sobor). With the Blessing of His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas, the commission is undertaking a study of the present fundraising methods that are being used in our diocesan parishes. To this end, a survey is being sent to all diocesan parishes. The results of the survey will be presented at the Sobor.
In related news, an audio recording of an excellent sermon preached by Very Rev. Protopresbyter Frank P Miloro, Diocesan Chancellor, on Christian Stewardship as exemplified in 2 Corinthians 9:6-11 is now posted on the Stewardship Home Page of the Diocesan Website in addition to the excellent presentation by Fr. Basil Aden that was delivered at the 2009 Diocesan Sobor.
