Diocesan Readers, Subdeacons & Deacons Gather in Johnstown
JOHNSTOWN, PA -- Despite a significant winter snowstorm, a record number of Diocesan Readers, Subdeacons and Deacons have gathered in Johnstown, this weekend (Dec 18-20, 2009) for the Annual Readers and Deacons Retreat hosted by Christ the Saviour Seminary and Cathedral. Those who participated this weekend, spent time in study, prayer and fellowship. Highlights of the weekend included Vespers and Liturgy for the Feast of St. Nicholas as well as a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, celebrated this morning by His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas, with the responses sung by a Plain Chant Chorale from St. George's Parish in Taylor, PA.
