John C. Kulis Charitable Foundation Gives Grant to Camp Nazareth

JOHNSTOWN, PA -- The Diocesan Chancery is pleased to announce that Camp Nazareth has received a $10,000 grant from the John C. Kulis Charitable Foundation to help children and families in need cover the cost of attending Camp for 2014. The $10,000 grant is being equally divided between the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh and our Diocese. The $5,000 we have been given translates to roughly 17 additional full scholarships to attend Camp this year.

We are grateful to Foundation’s Board of Trustees for the opportunity this will give our Diocese to reach more children through the Camp Nazareth program. By the grace of God, Camp becomes a powerful experience, and often a transformative one, for many children. Partnerships in the endeavor of camp with those committed to helping children is one way our Diocese and Camp can help ensure the children entrusted to us have that powerful and transformative experience.

We are grateful to our Lord for this generous grant and we will be good stewards of what has been entrusted to us. As a Diocese we are looking forward the arrival of our campers for the 2014 Summer Program.
