Annual Ecumenical Gathering in Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN,PA -- Christ the Saviour Cathedral in Johnstown was filled with faithful from various churches throughout Greater Johnstown, PA yesterday afternoon,  for the annual Ecumenical Service hosted by His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas. His Eminence was joined by Bishop Joseph Adamec of the Altoona-Johnstown Catholic Diocese, and Bishop Gregory Pile of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the USA (Allegheny Synod). Choral responses to the Ecumenical service were rendered by the Cathedral Choir directed by Helen Spanovich, and Plain Chant singing led by Dr. Donald Koval, local cantor. Protopresbyter Frank P. Miloro, Cathedral Dean, delivered the homily. Assisting was Protodeacon John S. Youhas.

A social followed in the cathedral auditorium.
