Follow Altarboy Retreat 2011 On-Line
JOHNSTOWN, PA - Diocesan Clergy, parents and faithful are invited to follow on-line the activities and events of the upcoming Diocesan Altarboy Retreat which will take place from Sunday June 26- Wednesday June 29, 2011 at Christ the Saviour Seminary and Cathedral.
This year's retreat will be focused on the theme "Serving the Least of Our Brethren"
In addition to participation in daily prayers, liturgical services, classes, and instruction in Plain Chant, the particpants will be hosted on Monday, June 27, by the Sts. Peter and Paul Parish of Windber, PA where they will enjoy swimming, sports and other recreational activities, and a barbeque.
On Tuesday all will participate in the Divine Liturgy in the Diocesan Cathedral and after brunch and classes, will board the buses for an excursion to Pittsburgh where they will spend time at a local water park, have dinner at St. Nicholas Church in Homestead, PA and end the day with an evening cruise on the Three Rivers in downtown Pittsburgh.
This year, you will again be able to watch the retreat liturgy live (Tuesday June 28 at 8:30 am) by clicking here and in archival format within one hour of the broadcast here. We will also post photos as time permits on our diocesan website either during or immediately following the retreat.
