DENVER, [IOCC] - Very Rev. Fr. Miles Zdinak of Sts Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Windber, was one twenty-two Orthodox Christians from around the country who gathered to participate in training this week at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church in Greenwood Village, Colorado, to become new members of the IOCC Frontline. The new volunteers join more than 60 current clergy and lay volunteers who serve as part of this national network developed to respond to emergencies. Read more...

ECUMENICAL PATRIARCHATE - On Thursday, August 15, 2013, His All-Holiness celebrated the great feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos at the historic monastery of Panaghia Soumela in Trabzon. This is the fourth consecutive year that His All-Holiness has led an annual pilgrimage to the historical monastery since its closure nine decades ago. The monastery was founded in 386 and functioned without interruption until 1923. DALLAS, TX -- On Friday July 5, 2013, His Grace, Bishop Gregory of Nyssa delivered the keynote breakfast address at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America's 30th Anniversary Young Adults League Reunion. The Theme of His Grace's Address was: "UNITY in CommUNITY: He called all to unity ... to cultivate Liturgy, Witness, Service and Fellowship" The YAL reunion took place at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dallas Texas.
