2010 Camping Program Underway.

MERCER, PA -- The 2010 Diocesan Summer Camping Program began this evening at Camp Nazareth, with the arrival of the Youth from the Pittsburgh, Mid-Atlantic, Tri-State and Washington, D.C. Deaneries for the first of three camping weeks.

As has been the case for the past 33 years, our youth will experience a life-changing week of  prayer, study, recreation and Christian Fellowship.  The Camp Nazareth experience allows our youth to retreat from the world, to a safe and beautiful place in the hills of Western PA where they will in the words of the camp theme song "find God everywhere."

Diocesan faithful and friends are asked to remember the Camp Nazareth Administration, Staff and Campers in their prayers, entreating Almighty God that our youth will grow during their time at Camp, as we pray in the Liturgy in " ...faith and life and spiritual understanding."

Those who wish to follow the daily events of  our diocesan camping program are invited to view the camp photo galleries  which will be posted daily during each of the three diocesan camping weeks.  Look for links  to the photogalleries at  www.acrod.org and www.campnazareth.org.

The Administrator of Camp Nazareth is the Rev. Fr. Stephen Loposky,
