JOHNSTOWN, PA - In recent months, interest has been expressed by the SCOBA endorsed Orthodox Christian Network, (OCN) to collaborate with our diocese in producing educational programing for the popular  Come Receive the Light Radio Program. Of particular interest to OCN is the work of the Diocesan Apostolate For Youth  (DAY). Plans are being made to produce several Orthodox Teen Talk Online (OTTO) programs during the coming year which will feature diocesan youth informally dialoguing about contemporary moral issues facing teenagers.

Along with His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas, several members of the Diocesan Apostolate For Youth have been asked to speak on some aspect of  Youth Ministry.

On November 21, 2008. Fr. Andrew Fetchina, the director of  DAY spoke on the topic Raising Faithful Kids in Today's World. Click Here to listen to Fr. Andrew's interview.

In the coming weeks inteviews will be aired with His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas about St. Nicholas the Wonderworker: the Very Rev. Miles Zdinak about the recent youth pilgrimage to the House of Miracles and the Very Rev. Fr. Peter Paproski on Daniel and the Three Holy Youths - A Model for Today's Youth .

The Orthodox Christian Network was officially endorsed by the Standing Conference of  Canonical Orthodox Bishops of America (SCOBA) in 2003. The mission of the Orthodox Christian Network is to strengthen the Orthodox communities of America by using modern communications technologies - radio, the Internet, DVD's, podcasts, television and more - to inspire our faithful; raise up our children; call back our wayward; and reach beyond to our towns and cities.

In addition to Come Receive the Light , OCN provides two 24 hour internet radio programs, the Rudder and the Ark. It also produces educational podcasts on a variety of topics.
