2009 Altarboy Retreat - Mon. June 29, 2009
The second day of the Diocesan Altarboy retreat was a full day. Beginning with morning prayers in small groups and breakfast in the Cathedral Educational Center and Chant Class in the cathedral, the young men were treated with a trip to Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Windber, PA. In addition to enjoying free time to swim, play sports and relax, the participated in round three of Surviver - Johnstown-Windber. After dinner they learned about the lives and deeds of several heroic Old Testament Saints in small breakout groups. The day concluded with a Penance Service and by participating in the Holy Mystery of Confession in anticipation of Tuesday Morning's Divine Liturgy.
