Camp Nazareth Cabin Expansion Project Days 18-25 (11/19/15)

The Camp Nazareth Cabins are undergoing a major upgrade with this expansion. New bathrooms, showers, a large common room, covered front porches, and climate control (hvac) are just some of the planned upgrades.

The project is scheduled to be completed by March 1, 2016.

Photos show scenes from days 18-25 of construction: Nov 5 - 16, 2015.

Nov 5: Building the Castle that will be cabins A & B
Nov 5: Discovery!! Cabin 3 had a vein of pure gray clay in it. Turns out building on this clay is just as bad as setting your foundation on sand. There's a lesson here.
Nov 5: Getting the plumbing at Cabins 7 & 8. These are the drains for the showers, utility closet and bathrooms.
Nov 5: Cabins 4 & 5 need plumbing too. It's amazing what a little digger can do in a short period of time.
Nov 9: Cabins 1 & 2 getting some needed insulation on the foundation and the necessary plumbing.
Nov 9: This is what Cabin 3 looked like after the clay was dug out and replaced with compacted stone. Much better to build a foundation on. Scripture is clear about that.
Nov 11: Looking much better down at Cabins 7 & 8
Nov 11: Dirt + Rain = MUD! But somehow the work still goes on.
Nov 11: The piles of stone around the project get bigger and then smaller. This is the back-fill for around the foundations.
Nov 12: Almost done with the foundation at A & B.
Nov 16: Once that clay was removed, and the stone tooks its place, Cabin 3 could have its foundation dug.
Nov 16: You've got to get the measurements right for the plumbing or you might end up with a bathroom in the middle of your living room!
