Holy Trinity Orthodox Christian School Visits Camp Nazareth

Holy Trinity Orthodox Christian School located in Warren, OH took a day trip to Camp Nazareth on Thursday, June 5th. Over 40 people (students, teachers, parents and priests) came to Camp to participate in a day of prayer, fellowship and fun in Christ. It was the School's first event like this at Camp Nazareth, but hopefully not the last.
Beginning time with the students from Holy Trinity School.
During the Tour of Camp for Parents and Students the CN Staff created still life scenes of the typical day at Camp
Including canoeing on the grass
...and cutting the grass with scissors (a favorite pass-time at Camp)...
as well as the traditional "de-tangling" of the guy that gets in a fight with the hose.
A visit to the Camp Church was on the tour as St. Mary watched over the children.
This young man was very curious about the iconostas
Many of the students were brother and sister or brother and brother pairs just like Sts. Cyril & Methodios, the patron saints of the Camp Church
More still life scenes by the CN Staff added to the "flavor" of the tour
Including General Washington crossing the Delaware.
Camp brought the friends together...
...and provided some games that taught certain lessons. This one was called "Putting on Airs"
The children interacted with their teachers and parents...
...And often stopped for photo-ops...
...By themselves....
...and with their friends...
...and sometimes with their moms watching.
The children and parents going on a hike to the falls.
This young man couldn't believe the things he saw.
And no one could believe that we could fit 40 or so at the base of the Falls.
The natural beauty of God's creation surrounded us...
....and allowed mother and son to get a beautiful picture together...
and for this young lady to have her picture taken too.
Later the kids found the parachute to be tremendous fun...
...as they sat or stood around it together...
...and had opportunity to work together...
...and laugh together...
...while playing games like "Cat and Mouse"...
...and trying to figure out if the mouse was going to escape.
It was an "All-smiles" Day at Camp for Holy Trinity School and its students and parents.
We pray for the students, their teachers and their parents as our Diocese partners with them in the teaching and guiding of these children.
