25th Anniversary Celebration of the Consecration to the Episcopacy of Metropolitan Nicholas

On Friday May 2, 2008, the faithful of the American Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Diocese of the USA gathered at Christ the Saviour Cathedral to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the consecration to the Episcopacy of His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas. Christ the Saviour Cathedral Choir beautifully sang the choral responses to the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy
His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas extended greetings to His brother Bishops of the Orthodox, Byzantine and Roman Catholic and Lutheran Churches.
His Grace, Bishop Andrei of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Western Europe joins in the procession of the Hierarchs exiting the Church at the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy. His Grace was a student at Christ the Saviour Seminary.

Very Rev. Protopresbyter Frank P. Miloro, Diocesan Chancellor and Cathedral Dean offered the Homily at the Divine Liturgy.
His Eminence, Archbishop Demetrios, Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarchate for America was in attendance at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy along with His Grace Bishop Philotheos (The only surviving co-consecrator of Metropolitan Nicholas)
His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas offers the Kiss of Peace to Archbishop Demetrios.
Hundreds of faithful were in attendance at the celebratory banquet that followed in the Frank Pasquerilla Convention center.
His Eminence Metropolitan Basil Shott and His Grace Bishop John Kudrick of the Byzantine Catholic Diocese of the U.S, along with His Eminence Metropolitan Stefan Soroka and retired Bishop Basil Losten of the Ukrainian Catholic Diocese in America were amongst the honored guests also in attendance at the Divine Liturgy.
His Grace Bishop Ilia of the Albanian Orthodox Diocese of the USA (Ecumenical Patriarchate) washes his hands prior to the Great Entrance.
A high point of the banquet program was the keynote address of His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas was presented with a beautiful hand embroidered Epitrachelion and Omophorion.
Diocesan Clergy and Pani's gathered for a short rehearsal of a special musical tribute to His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas, prior to the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy under the direction of Very Rev. Protopresbyter Michael Rosco.
