Description of Posted Photos

The Annual Diocesan Readers, Sub-deacons & Deacon's Retreat takes each year the third weekend in December at Christ the Savior Seminary and Cathedral in Johnstown PA. Instituted by His Eminence, Metropolitan Nicholas, the annual encounter affords our Diocesan Readers, Sub-deacons and Deacons the opportunity to gather together to reflect upon their vocations in the Church.  A highlight of this year's retreat was the Ordination to the Holy Diaconate of Subdeacon Michael Ellis of Christ The Saviour Seminary, a vocation of St. Michael's Parish, Binghamton, NY and the tonsure to the Order of Reader of John Anderson, James Blomeley, Elijah Bremer, Herman (Wayman) Cowan, Philip (Jeffrey) Floyd, Stephen King, John Miller and Josuah Vander Plats and the Ordination to the Sub-Deaconate of John Anderson, Elijah Bremer, Timothy Eads, Kenneth Ellis, Stephen King and Daniel Meece.

This year's retreatmaster was the Very Rev. Hieromonk Matthias (Moriak), Pastor of St. Michael's Church in St. Clair, PA. Father Robert Lucas was the Father Confessor for the Retreatants.
