JOHNSTOWN, PA -- With the blessing of His Grace, Bishop Gregory, the National Junior ACRY, as in previous years, has taken it upon itself to aid the Diocesan ministry of Saint John the Compassionate, located in the inner city of Toronto, Ontario. The National Junior ACRY has renewed its ongoing effort to assist in the work of Saint John the Compassionate. This renewed commitment was affirmed at the National Convention in Chicago this past summer. One again members of the Junior ACRY had the opportunity to visit the Mission this past summer and experience the labors of love that take place there each and everyday. Read more...

These retreats are open to everyone and contain special programing for youth and adults of all ages. Bishop Gregory, along with other talented clergy of the Diocese will offer insightful and inspiring presentations designed to encourage and challenge the faithful to stay focused on the spiritual life as they continue their Lenten Journey to Pascha. Write about your experience at College Conference,” I was told. Naturally, I want to share everything about the experience. Although, every time I sit at my desk to write about my experiences, I have no idea where to start or how to start. I suppose I’ll start with the fact that I ended up at College Conference as a representative for Camp Nazareth, as well as to film His Grace, Bishop Gregory giving his keynote addresses to the attendees. This opportunity was a blessing in disguise for me. The past five months previous to the conference had been very difficult for me. Without going into much detail, I must say that I had been “broken” in many ways and I needed to be helped and healed. I can honestly say through OCF’s College Conference our Lord helped and healed me in ways I think only he can. Before I was asked to work at and attend the Conference, I had no plans to go there. Don’t get me wrong; I wanted to attend the Conference because I had always heard so much about it, but I had the attitude of “maybe next year.” Apparently, next year was not part of Gods plan for me, because just a few days before the Conference I received a call asking me to film His Grace Bishop Gregory give the keynote addresses. Naturally I was excited to be given such a great opportunity to see my Bishop and to film. Read more...
