About Our Program

The Diocesan Altar Boy Retreat Program has been existence for more than fifty years.   Established by His Eminence, Metropolitan Orestes of Thrice-Blessed Memory, the annual retreat program is designed to foster an awareness of and interest in the vocation of the Holy Priesthood.  Taking place annually during the last week of June at Christ the Saviour Seminary and Cathedral in Johnstown, PA, the participants are given an opportunity to  enjoy each other's company; learn more about the Orthodox Faith and how to be better altar servers, pray more and spend some quality time with their Bishop and dedicated priests and deacons of the diocese.

The current Director of the Diocesan Altar Boy Retreat Program is Very Rev. Protopresbyter David Cochran.
