Orthodox Scripture Study
The Gospel of St. Matthew
A study of the Gospel according to St. Matthew. The Gospel of St. Matthew is read and discussed within the context of the patristic mindset of the Church. Emphasis is placed on both the Gospel's historical context and application to contemporary life.
It is held weekly on Saturday evenings at 4:45 pm, beginning August 4, 2012 and concluding at the end of June 2013, with short recesses to be announced during the Nativity and Holy Week/Paschal Seasons. Each class is approximately 60 minutes in length with time allotted for questions to follow.
The class takes place in "Real Time" and is broadcast live from St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Warren, Ohio. The class is led by the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Kenneth Bachofsky, D. Min. Pastor of St. Nicholas Church and Professor of Sacred Scripture at Christ the Saviour Orthodox Theological Seminary
Classes are also recorded in audio and video formats for later review.
