Orthodox Scripture Study 2011-2012
The Gospel of St. Matthew
A study of the Gospel according to St. Matthew. The Gospel of St. Matthew will be read and discussed within the context of the patristic mindset of the Church. Emphasis will be placed on both the Gospel's historical context and application to contemporary life.
It will be held weekly on Saturday evenings at 4:45 pm, beginning November 5, 2011 and concluding on May 19, 2012, with short recesses to be announced during the Nativity and Holy Week/Paschal Seasons. Each class will be approximately 60 minutes in length with time allotted for questions to follow.
The class will take place in "Real Time" and will be broadcast live from St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Warren, Ohio. The class will be led by the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Kenneth Bachofsky, D. Min. Pastor of St. Nicholas Church and Professor of Sacred Scripture at
