Orthodox Scripture Study
The Gospel of St. John
A study of the Gospel according to St. John. The Gospel of St. John is read and discussed within the context of the patristic mindset of the Church. Emphasis is placed on both the Gospel's historical context and application to contemporary life. The study is led by the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Kenneth Bachofsky, D. Min. Pastor of St. Nicholas Church and Professor of Sacred Scripture at Christ the Saviour Orthodox Theological Seminary.
The weekly class takes place in "Real Time" and is broadcast live from St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Warren, Ohio on Saturday evenings at 4:45 pm, beginning Sept 7, 2013 and concluding at the end of May 2014, with short recesses to be announced during the Nativity and Holy Week/Paschal Seasons.
