Camp Nazareth Goes Online with Summer Camp Registration

Thursday, April 23, 2015

MERCER, PA [Camp Nazareth] The Diocesan Chancery and Camp Nazareth are pleased to announce that Camp now has Online Registration available to register for Summer Camp. The new online system went “live” today and can be accessed through the Camp Nazareth website at campnazareth.org. This new system will enable our campers and their parents to complete most of the registration process without having to keep track of paper documents and material. It will also simplify the process for the Camp when it comes to registration. The new system will allow campers and their families to pay for Camp online. This is a significant step forward for the Camp and one that will enable it to more effectively minister to our children. In the coming year the new Online Registration System will be able to be modified to accommodate other Diocesan events.

Homily of Saint Gregory Palamas For the Sunday of The Myrrhbearing Women

Thursday, April 23, 2015

The resurrection of the Lord is the regeneration of human nature. It is the resuscitation and re-creation of the first Adam, whom sin led to death, and who because of death, again was made to retrace his steps on the earth from which he was made. The resurrection is the return to immortal life. Whereas no one saw that first man when he was created and given life—because no man existed yet at that time—woman was the first person to see him after he had received the breath of life by divine inbreathing. On Stewardship and the Orthodox Life - Part 39: The Common Life in The Spirit

Sunday, April 26, 2015

“… they had everything in common.” (Acts 4:32 RSV) People in our Western culture think almost exclusively in terms of private ownership of possessions. We assume this is natural, that it is the way God intended the world to operate. We think that some things are mine, while other things belong to someone else. Read more...
