METROPOLITAN NICHOLAS' VISITATION TO SLOVAKIA AND TRANSCARPATHIA DAYS 7& 8

On Saturday June 24, 2006 the Metropolitan toured the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Uzhorod. This magnificent church, which is presently under construction is the largest Orthodox Church in the Carpathians

Later that day, Metropolitan Nicholas, accompanied by Fr. Dimitri Sydor visited the monument erected in remembrance of the attempted murder by the communists of Greek Catholic Bishop Theodore Romza, near the village of Ivanoci.
